Leveling Guide for WildStar Warrior

The Warrior is WildStar's master of brute force and wielder of giant swords. A Warrior doesn't take no for an answer and is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to both sheer killing power and survivability. Warriors can be both DPS and tanks. In both forms they use a two-handed sword and use an arm rocket that also acts as an electronic shield that protects them from harm.

For a melee class, Warriors are surprisingly mobile and have a solid number of crowd control abilities. This makes them excellent PvPers but also excellent solo levelers. When choosing a Warrior build for leveling you should make sure to choose a couple of crowd control/mobility abilities that help you navigate your way around any hectic battlefield. One great example is to choose both Kick and Leap. Kick can be used to crowd control an enemy and knock it back. Following up with Leap lets you interrupt the enemy a second time as well as get right back in the action.

Make sure to choose a combat initiator skill as well. Leap is fantastic for this and almost a must-have ability for any Warrior build for this reason. Leap can also be used immediately after dodging telegraphed abilities to get back into melee range. Concussion Grenade is another useful ability for leveling purposes. This stuns entire groups of enemies. Following up a Concussion Grenade with Plasma Saw is a fantastic way to deal a large amount of burst area-of-effect damage in one shot.

DPS Warriors will level quicker than tank Warriors by a small margin, but tanking Warriors can still level fairly quickly with a bit of DPS gear and abilities. Don’t hesitate to switch around your abilities to see which combos work the best for leveling. In general you will want to focus on crowd control and mobility as well as single target damage and area-of-effect damage. Grabbing a tanking cooldown is also useful but not necessary.

Overdrive is another ability that's incredibly useful for leveling guide. With a fairly short duration, you can use Overdrive on just about every fight to quickly build up cell charges. Cell charges are your main resources. The quicker your cells build up, the more damage you can do.

Prioritize Strength when leveling a Warrior. Warrior tanks will also want to keep an eye on their Technology and Stamina, of course, but Strength will be the clear winner when it comes to dealing damage in solo situations.
